The main production hall at the Mogadishu steel works runs heavy rotating plant on drive motors that are near the end of their service life.
The upgrade will replace those motors and their controls, renew the guarding and walkways around the line, and change the hall lighting. The work is planned in stages so that the line only stops for short, scheduled shutdowns.
Survey work is complete and equipment orders are being placed.
